Team Pilot in Command (PIC)

Location: Various Regional Assignments. Multiple positions Available. 

Priority Markets:  AR, IA, CA, OR, TX and FL 


About the Role


As a Pilot in Command (PIC), you will lead a two-person field team to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient drone spray operations for growers and agricultural partners. PICs handle mission planning, flight execution, safety, and customer engagement. You’ll report to the Chief Pilot and work closely with Rantizo’s Operations and Agronomist teams. Each team is assigned a Rantizo drone, vehicle, and trailer.

All successful candidates must complete Rantizo Training University prior to employment.


What You Will Do


  • Plan and execute spray missions, including site assessments and risk management
  • Fly Rantizo spray drones and supervise Team Member during staging and recovery
  • Maintain accurate flight logs, application records, and maintenance documentation
  • Ensure aircraft, batteries, and support equipment are field-ready
  • Communicate effectively with growers, ag retailers, and dispatch teams


What We’re Looking For


Required

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong English reading/writing skills for compliance documentation
  • Willingness to travel regionally and work variable hours during peak seasons


Preferred

  • State pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • FAA Class 3 medical certificate
  • CDL or trailer towing experience
  • Prior ag aviation, spraying, GIS, or UAS mapping experience
  • Veterans of any US Military Service


Compensation & Benefits

  • Average $37.50/hour plus seasonal performance bonuses

  • Must be able to lift 50 lb and work outdoors in variable conditions
